As part of it’s deliberate efforts to encourage, appreciate and reward hard work for kingdom service, the gateway international church on Sunday October 27,2024, honoured four outstanding, dedicated and longest serving Pastors with awards of excellence.
The awards which took place at the gateway international church Alter of Mercy Ground, Elioparanwo,, recognized kingdom service.
Those honoured for the longest kingdom services for 20 years in active kingdom service are, Executive Pastor, gateway international church, Pastor Matthew Aganven, Pastor Chinedu Anyanwu , Pastor Nathaniel Ololegbu and Pastor James Amaegbe.
Announcing the distinguished gateway international church awardees, Pastor Emeka Ojoko who is also one of the Pastors in gateway international church, described the award winning gateway international church Pastors as dedicated to kingdom service.
Pastor Ojoko said that the Pastors groomed and tutored him as a pastor in gateway international church, pointing out that the Awardees are passionate to the works of God.
Having deligently served gateway international church for the period of 20 years, Pastor Ojoko said that described the awards as meritorious.
In his speech,Lead Pastor , gateway international church, Pastor George Izunwa said there is need for gateway international church to celebrate the Awardees for dedicated kingdom services, pointing out that the four distinguished awardees have stayed with him for a period of 20 years and as such they deserved to be appreciated and honoured by the church.
Lead Pastor George Izunwa opined that the Pastors in gateway international church were not paid salaries, yet they were dedicated to kingdom service.
According to the highly respected, responsible and true man of God, Pastor George Izunwa said that some of pastors who started gateway international church ministry came into port Harcourt poor without anything, but today they have excelled and became employers of labour, while some of them are gainfully employed in a reputable companies and institutions of higher learning as Senior lecturers.
Pastor asserts that the Pastors in gateway international church are ful time pastors without payment, but through kingdom service, God has been blessing them and they live comfortable lives.
He used the moment to urge Members of the church to emulate the dedicated Pastors who sacrificed their time, money and efforts to ensure they promote the kingdom service.
Highpoint of the ceremony was prayers for the awardees and pastors of the gateway international church by members of the congregation.
