NewsGov. Diri's 7 POINT ASSURED Agenda Recieves Kudos.

A renowned social commentator and former senior special assistant to Governor Douye Diri, Comrade Tony Ile, has commended the governor’s 7 points ASSURED agenda which formed the focus of the bespoke retreat for the Bayelsa State Executive Council organized recently in Uyo, Akwa Ibom state capital. The retreat aimed to aggregate thoughts, foster collaboration, drive innovation, and align policies towards achieving shared prosperity.

Comrade Ile described Governor Diri’s address during the retreat as “inspirational” and “visionary,” adding that the ASSURED agenda is a comprehensive roadmap for Bayelsa State’s development. The agenda focuses on seven critical areas:

1. Agricultural Revolution:.
2. Sports Development
3. Security:.
4. Urban Renewal:
5. Robust Healthcare:
6. Energy Generation:
7. Diversification of Education:

Ile commended the governor for creating a platform for constructive debate and idea-sharing, saying, “The retreat was a testament to the Governor’s willingness to listen and learn from others.” He urged the Executive Council to work together to actualize the ASSURED agenda, encouraging the Governor to continue leading with passion, vision, and inclusivity.

However, Ile expressed concern about self-proclaimed social critics who employ propaganda, coercion, and extortion to manipulate governments. He noted that their actions undermine authentic social criticism and democratic principles.

In Bayelsa State, a few individuals refuse to acknowledge the achievements of the Governor Douye Diri Prosperity Administration, instead distorting and misrepresenting facts to further their own agendas Ile warned that mercenary social critics who resort to cheap blackmail will lose their credibility and become disposable.

Ultimately, the success of the ASSURED agenda depends on the collective efforts of all stakeholders, including the government, citizens, and genuine social critics. By working together, Bayelsa State can achieve its full potential and become a model for other states to follow.
