Following the protracted political crisis rocking Rivers state, a group known as G23 which cut across the the various wards and units of the 23 local government areas of Rivers state, warned One Ugo Chinyere ikenga and his co- travellers from meddling into and or interfering in RIvers state political crisis.
Leader of the G23 , Hon. Tony Okocha gave the warning in a media briefing with journalists in port Harcourt.
While condemning the excesses and activities of Ugo Chinyere and his cohorts in RIvers state, Tony Okocha said that G23 would no longer tolerate the activities of Ugo Chinyere who came all the way from one village called Amusu, Ama- Imo in Ikeduru local government area of Imo state to come and speak on Rivers state political crisis, pointing out that Ugo Chinyere does not represent any constituency in RIvers state at the National level to gualify him to speak on the issues concerning Rivers state.
According to the leader of G23, Ugo Chinyere failed to speak on the flooding that is ravaging his constituent even on the activities of IPOB which is domicile in his village, he is coming to talk on Rivers state crisis.
Tony said that, though, Ugo Chinyere was allegedly hired by the State Governor Sim fubara to do or say all that he is saying about Rivers state and the people.
Okocha affirmed that Ugo Chinyere cannot equate himself or measure with the Hon. Federal Capital Territory ( FCT) minister, chief Barr Ezenwo Nyesom Wike in all ramification, pointing out that Chief Barr Ezenwo Nyesom Wike has achieved so much as a local government chairman of Obio/Akpor, Minister of state for Education and supervising minister of Education, chief of staff Government House, Executive Governor of Rivers state and Super FCT minister, adding that Wike’s achievements has earned the minister several honours, recognitions and awards even as master of quality infrastructural projects.
Tony guestioned where Ugo Chinyere would begin to measure with chief Barr Ezenwo Nyesom Wike, hinting that the docile of Ugo Chinyere is on his palm which would be revealed at the appropriate time.
He also extended the same warning to one Daniel Iwuayanwu whom Okocha described as a serial political failure that was disgraced out as former National chairman of labour party due to his guestionable character and enjoined them to concentrate on their state and leave Rivers state alone.
He used the opportunity to plead with the National Assembly to immediately remove the state independent electoral Commission (SIEC) from the hands of the state Governors and to allow the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to handle the local government elections for a free, fair and credible elections, Okocha summed up.
