One of the leading and impactful churches in Nigeria, with its Headquarters in Rivers state, The Gateway international church, have donated food items worths millions of Naira and huge sum of cash in millions to the some widows and the less privileged .
The gesture is part of the benevolence program organised by Gateway international church to cushion the effects of the economic hardship in the society as well as to render some form of assistance to the down trodden in society, especially members of Gateway international church.
Prior to the presentation of the food items and cash to the beneficiaries, Leader Pastor of Gateway international church, pastor George Izunwa said that the church decided render some assistance to some widows in the church who could not be able or struggling to provide food for their children after the demise of their husbands, pointing out that the benevolent is categorised into three, mainly the widows, single mothers, business men and students from Ada George zone whose parents cannot afford their school fee, additional that the benevolence would be done monthly by the church.
In his speech, Executive pastor, Gateway international church, pastor Mathew Ogara said that what the church is giving to the beneficiaries was just a token, especially to those who are into one form of Business or the other and prayed that that token would multiply in their hands.
According to the benevolence team, Gateway international church is a compassionate ground that identifies with the challenges of its members, pointing out that those whose businesses has gone down would pick up again with the token being donated to them by Gateway international church.
