Rivers State Governor, Ezenwo Nyesom Wike has declared that the Ahoada-Omoku road when completed would boost economic activities in the area and facilitate the gentrification of Ahoada town and it’s environs.
Gov. Wike made this known after the signing of the contract for the dualisation of the first phase of the Ahoada-Omoku road at the Rivers State Government House.
From the Government House Gov. Wike proceeded to the project site in Ahoada East LGA where the project was flagged-off by Rt.Hon Chibudum Nwuche, former Deputy Speaker of the House of Reps.
According to Gov. Wike, “To the glory of God the contract for the first phase of the Ahoada-Omoku Road has been signed and its construction flagged off.
“The dual carriage which is to be constructed by Julius Berger PLC is designed to have a minimum lifespan of 30 years. Ahoada was a division in the old Eastern Region and should have experienced more development that it presently has”.
